Beyond the Showroom Floor: Crafting a 360° Virtual Home to Redefine How Customers Experience Miele
As online shopping reshaped how people buy large-ticket items, Miele Canada needed a way to bring the showroom experience to a digital-first audience. The challenge was not only to showcase products in a realistic home setting, but to make them feel alive, with photorealistic animations of appliances opening, closing, and running, seamlessly composited as video layers on top of the 3D scenes so everything blends together naturally.
The tour features a custom interface with intuitive navigation, a product search function, a 3D floor plan, and interactive hotspots throughout the home. A guided onboarding flow walks first-time visitors through everything from navigating the space to finding products and contacting Miele, so the experience feels intuitive from the first click.
The goal was to make exploring 23 different appliances feel effortless. Users can walk through rooms, tap into detailed product information, and interact with the space without ever feeling overwhelmed.
The result is a fully responsive platform that works seamlessly across devices, serving as a powerful tool for marketing, sales enablement, and customer education, while laying the groundwork for Miele to scale the experience into other international markets.
